Def Con One has released a new E.P. on vinyl, it’s brutal, aggressive and grinds into your soul! Following up from the band’s debut album the excellent 'Warface' released in 2012, they have played various festivals winning accolades throughout the Metal world. These Geordie Metallers have returned with a piece of scintillating, no holds barred aggressive metal heaven, to sate their fans hunger untill the band release their new album.
And what you get are four tracks of venomous drumming, intense, aggressive, skin blistering vocals and guitar strings thrashing to the bone.
Fans of the band will be familiar with three of the tracks on here, which have been released early on in the bands career, for instance 'No More Hate' was given away for a while as a free download. 'Caving In' and 'Weapons of War' have been on the bands earlier E.P.'s but have now been fully revamped, re-worked and are more savage and ferocious than the earlier versions. The E.P opens the gates of Hades with Def Con Ones new track “Brute Force and Ignorance” this crushes your skull, destroys all in its way seeing hells dominions shake with the roar and thundering drums of Antton Lant. If this is a taste of what to expect from the band’s new album, then they are going to conquer the metal world and rip it a new one!
'Caving In' has Steve Miller’s heavy and unforgiving bass which is insanely intense as Miekle's vocals dig and thrust into your consciousness with the metal vengeance of a whirling samurai sword.
This is uncompromising and destroying. Johnny Hunter shreds the guitar like a demon possessed and Antton Lant's drums simply annihilate as the E.P. opens to my favourite Def Con One songs. It's vicious, menacing and ominous, when Davey screams 'No More Hate' and Anton’s Drums pound you can feel your teeth rattle and your skin crawl Simply inspired and first class, catching the band perform this song live will simply take your breath away I promise you!
Final track 'Weapons of War' kicks in, bangs your head and slams your body to the canvas, as heavy channels of molten scorching metal are delivered, with malice and virulence.
The E.P is a must have! It’s only going to be released on 12” a Nuclear Green Vinyl with all four tracks on one side and the bands signatures “engraved”, “gouged”, “scratched” into the vinyl on the other side. This tremendous E.P has a Full open out gatefold cover packed with live pictures etc. There’s not going to be that many released, so go and get your mitts on this exclusive release from this powerful , hell on wheels band!
