OK cards on the table, I wasn't keen to this album at first.. then I listened a bit more and realised its Brilliant !  I think the fact I have been listening to too much Death/ Thrash Metal recently kind of affected my judgement of this album on the first listen. Mean being there in the Eighties, when Hair Metal ruled  the world! I forget my roots at times !

I was waiting for the lead singer to go hell for leather vocally,   and it didn't happen you see . Scream Arena deliver a hard rocking melodic sound that fits back in that decade on sunset strip.

The bands vocalist Andy Paul does not  screech and spit the lyrics out , its a low rasping effectual style that works with out a doubt, reminding me at times of Tyla outta Dogs D Amour ( Yes I know they are English!) .

Scream Arena are obviously heavily influenced by bands like Ratt, Motley Crue the list is endless! But they  bring something new to the table,   the crazy thing is these guys are based in the North of England , York to be exact.. not LA!  Opening with "Born Ready" you are invited to start your engines, its a classic opener to what is a sterling effort from these Yorkshire rockers , its catchy really grows on you,  and will be a favourite live am sure.

Hell yeah,  sleaze  it up , get them stack heels on  dance and sing "Am Nothing But a Bad Bad boy" yes its the "Price of Love" infectious , sing along party time with Scream Arena is the order of the day. The band even do a stunning Version of "Heartbreak Hotel ",   delve deeper into this opus.. Elvis would be proud!

"Another Night in London Town" has a bluesy vibe , its lyrically superb and intelligent. Other highlights,   and my   personal favourite is "Knave of Hearts" its fetching and rawks your world, well the whole album does to be fair, I think  "Goodnight LA" hits the spot and showcases the bands influences, melodic and appealing. "Queen of Dreams" has some nice riffs and digs deep into melodic abandonment.

Theres a bonus track with "Heart of Rock"  which it does , it rocks your arterial pump alright ! I would recommend you check these guys out its nice to see bands like Scream Arena keeping the scene , and  Hard Rock  alive and kicking and long may it continue!
